My favorite Vietnamese restaurant Love the friendly staff and service

Worth a trip just for the spring rolls. And on the rare, overcast/rainy evening we visited the pho was generous, especially with the meat, and hit the mouth perfectly. The chicken and vegetable entree was good but overpriced for what we got. So we’ll skip that next time. But ending the meal with the Vietnamese coffee sealed the deal — this place is low-key but legit. If you want to be seen and have something trendy for your Instagram, go to Pig & the Lady, if you desire something a bit more local, this is your spot.

Came here again recently with my friend for dinner. It was actually not super crowded and we managed to get seated right away.

I have 3 Vietnamese restaurants I love in Hawaii and this is the second one far as dine in.

Wasn't bad. I think it was abit overpriced. Service was good.

There are some places that no matter what whenever I go home I HAVE to stop in to... Hale Vietnam is one of those places...I moved off island 3 years ago and 2 years prior to that and the staff still rember me and my peanut allergy... I went in one night with my hanai sister and there was a new employee who I forgot to tell I have a peanut allergy... So when my summer rolls came he brought out the peanut sauce instead of the fish sauce... One of the "old timers" saw him bringing it to me a ripped him a new one... I told her it was my fault and that I forgot to let him know and she said ok I apologized to the newbie too and he was fine when I went back months later he saw me and said ahhh fish sauce peanut allergy and just made it a joke... They are like my second family and take such good care... I can't wait till I get back home and get to stuff my face

Fast service, good pho, really good pork chops... But make sure to get the imperial rolls!

My favorite Vietnamese food in Honolulu. Not cheap, not expensive. Great service and tasty traditional Vietnamese.

Perhaps the best beef Pho I've had on island. The broth has a lot a flavor. And their spring rolls are equally as tasty. However, be prepared to wait for a table as it's a very popular place.

I’ve never found a Vietnamese food restaurant I liked until I was introduced to Hale Vietnam. I can’t wait to go back!

So good and so spicy. The mango sticky rice is a must have!

Great flavors, good food. Just minor suggestions... 1) please provide bigger bowls so soups and contents can be easily mixed around without spilling. The portions are perfect. Not too much not too small, but a little more room on a bigger bowl makes for a more relaxed dining experience.2) Soups and broth - they are more on the warm and not piping hot when it comes out. Been here 8 times. Temperature of broth is consistently not hot. If it can come out boiling hot, the soups and pho would be near perfect!The good news is these suggestions mean that you guys are doing a great job! Only small adjustments such as bowls or soup temperature. Mahalo!

I have been here so many times. It always hits the spot. I love the vegetarian imperial rolls! Yummm

The beef pho was average. The broth was rather watery. Other traditional dishes were tasty.

My go to pho, it's usually all I get, so don't know what other stuff tastes like, but their broth is definitely comforting.

We ate there and the food is pretty good, but there were a lot of little black bugs flying around and going into the food. I told the manager when I payed the bill about it. He just said he would call the exterminator. It's a sign of uncleaneness. Not a good experience.

It was okay, but it cost more than at home. We had pho I've had better.

The wait was minimal at about 7pm on a Sunday. The service was excellent and they kept our water glass full. The French Coffee was strong. The food was excellent and I was satiated but not overly stuffed. The ambiance was comfortable and there wasn't too much noise. The metered parking was near by. Great experience.

We had delivered some our brand new equipment to this restaurant and were very pleased how organized they were there . There was no mess in the kitchen so it was super easy to get the appliances here they needed to be. Kitchen is kept very well. Also, the food that they are making there is delicious. The staff was very friendly with us and overall great experience.

Fabulous tofu peanut curry.

I like this Vietnamese Restaurant because the servers really look professional with their uniform. But the pho here is really good. I also can recommend their spring rolls. There is a paid parking here and order waiting time is prompt.

They have a variety of vegan/vegetarian options. Staff is quick.

The best veggie pho I’ve had on island! The broth really has substance. I want to go back!

Broth was like warm and noodles were overdone. The taste of broth was nowhere near authentic or tasty. Would not recommend if you're looking for an authentic dish.

Great food, friendly waiters and really worthy. When I didn't know how to properly eat the appetiser my waiter showed me how it's done and they even took the remaining food and packed it perfectly for us.There are many Vegetarian options. Their fried appetizer rolls are a must try.The place has a paid parking lot just behind it, which makes it so convenient.

Best pho I have ever had

The papaya salad they made was terrible, but this fried chicken was very delicious!!

food is fine. my problem is the mandatory "15% tip" if u make a reservation. i called 20 mins before arriving for lunch and received OK-to-bad service. there were 5 tables open but i had to pay 15% tip cuz i called for reservation. that is FINE ... IF u warn me. no warnings were issued over the phone. "mandatory 15% charge for reservations." when i have to ask for 3 times before i get something and waitress treats us like crap ... i should be able to pay 10%. Warn your customers of mandatory charges please.

This restaurant has been very consistent in always making good Vietnamese food over years. This is my to go place when there’s a visitor in town. Pho and fried spring rolls are must try!
